The Chief Executive Officer participated in this event during her tenure at New York Foundling, where she previously served as a Senior Advisor. In this role, she contributed to the SFC training program, developed under DOHMH-contracted initiatives, to equip youth and family advocates with essential skills and resources to better support families and communities.

As a Senior Advisor, she acted as a vital liaison between staff, administration, and partner agencies, fostering collaboration and enhancing service delivery for youth and family advocates across New York City. Her responsibilities included facilitating professional development workshops, mentoring team members, and promoting the use of natural supports to strengthen advocacy efforts. She led performance evaluations, provided constructive feedback on content creation and public speaking, and successfully trained over 100 mental health professionals citywide.

She also developed technical assistance programs for Peer Advocates and worked closely with external partners to expand professional growth opportunities. A key part of her work involved advocating for continuous learning and supporting the evolution from "Lived Experience" to "Lived Expertise," in collaboration with Dr. Nivea Jackson. Her leadership emphasized building an organizational culture grounded in inclusivity, acceptance, and empowering leadership beyond titles, all aimed at amplifying the agency's impact.

We collaborate with local community centers, parks, nonprofits, schools, and more to host events that create meaningful spaces for healing and connection within the community.
